Good morning SHQ! I’ve been tweaking this slightly over the last few days, and I think I’ve found a good build for a Defender/Guardian. This build allows for massive Defense and even more debuffs, hidden treats and some tricks for the enemy. Silence, Slow, Immobilize, and Immortality all await those who dare to trek down the slow but steady path of

Now, this is a Hard Mode build, with Ultimate you’ll have even more Leeway with your skill points. In Hard mode, you have 240 Skill points at level 60. (4 SP/lvl x 60 lvl = 240) I do not have a Normal build, but you can take out a few of the higher level and Hard-Only skills from here to get one.
I believe this build will be highly effective in group PvE and PvP, and only slightly less effect solo. This build includes, as I stated above,
- AE Silence (9sec)
- AE Evasion Debuff (20sec)
- AE Attack negation (12sec)
- AE Attack Speed Debuff
- Immunity to all damage (Defender-Only, 13sec)
- Immunity to all damage (Full Party, 20sec)
- Physical Damage reflection (10sec)

The skill build I have planned for Defender/Guardian is thus:
Passive Skills

Defense Master : Increases physical defense
Skill level 3: Physical defense increases by 49 (Total Skill points: 9)

Relax : Increases hp/mp/statima regen rate while sitting
Skill level 1:Increases hp/mp/statima regen rate by 4% every 3 seconds (Total Skill points: 1)

Heavy Weapons Mastery : Increases attack speed when using short Blunt — 1 or 2 handed
Skill level 2: Attack speed increases by 1 grade (Total Skill points:

Backpack Upgrade : adds 1 more backpack
Skill level 2:Adds 1 more Backpack (Total Skill points: 9)
Basic Skills

Faith Defender : Increases physical defense, HP for 5 minutes
Skill level 3: Physical defense increases by 13, HP increases by 244 (Total Skill points: 7)

Guidance : Increases accuracy for 5 minutes
Skill level 1: Accuracy increases by 7% (Total Skill points: 2)

Taunt: Provokes nearby enemies to attack ( mob only ), higher REC –> higher effect
Skill level 3: Provokes nearby enemies to attack, higher REC–> higher effect (Total Skill points: 9)

Heavy Swat: Melee range DoT skill
Skill level 3: Deals total 650 damage during 30 seconds (Total Skill points: 10)

Remedy: remove debuff casted on self, [[ Ultimate + Hard mode special skill ]]
Skill level 3: remove ALL debuff casted on self (Total Skill points: 11)

Holy Blessing: Restores your HP instantly [[ Ultimate + Hard mode special skill ]]
Skill level 3: Hp restores = 1401 (Total Skill points: 11)
Combat Skills

Panic:Curse that reduces target’s Physical Defense.
Skill level 2: Physical Defense decrease by 45 for 60 seconds (Total Skill points: 6)

Aggression: Deals damage and provokes a target to attack << higher REC –> higher effect >>

Power Smash: Deals damage and reduce target attack speed << AoE debuff skill >>

Aegis : increase your self and party members defense.
Skill level 3: Defense increase by 42 for 10 minutes (Total Skill points: 9)

Basic Instinct : Automatically increases evasion when HP level falls. << can only use once every 3 minutes >>
Skill level 3: Evasion automatically increase by 70% when HP drop below 20% for 30 seconds (Total Skill points: 6)

Immortal : Immune to all kind of attack. (Self-Only)
Skill level 3: Immune to everything for 13 seconds (Total Skill points: 12)

Fatal Strike : Melee attack.
Skill level 2: Additional damage 168. Range 5 metres (Total Skill points: 11)

Reflect Damage : Reflects all Physical Damage back to enemy.
Skill level 3: Reflects all Physical Damage back to enemy for 15 seconds (Total Skill points: 24)

Stat Point Distribution
Defenders/Guardians get +1 Rec/lvl, so that will get you your base stats (which I can’t find atm), +60 Rec. In Hard, you get 7 stat points per level, x 60 lvls = 420 Stat Points.
Now, let’s take a look at the Stats
Str: Physical and Ranged Damage
Rec: Physical Resistance, HPs
Wis: Magical Resistance, Magical Attack, MP
Int: Magical Damage
Dex: Ranged Damage, Physical Attack, Some Evasion, Some Crit, SP
Luc: some Evasion, some Crit
Now, a Guardian’s main role is the tank. Hold aggro, get pounded like a punching bag, and debuff, while the mages and archers kill. That’s not to say that Guardians Can’t do damage!
Most Guardians will go something like 4 Rec 1 Dex 1 Wis 1 Str, every level. This gives you a good amount of HP, it allows you to hit with your physical attacks (for taunting) and your debuffs (for debuffing), while also keeping you high in SP and MP, and still allowing you to do a bit of damage. Alternately, 5 Rec/1 Dex/1 Wis on even levels with 4 Rec/1 Dex/1 Wis/1 Str on odd levels will allow you even more HPs and defense, without sacrificing much damage. This is my recommended path.
Going 5R/1D/1W will give you +360 Rec at level 60, plus stats from items and buffs. This will easily toss your HPs into the thousands, possibly even up to ten thousand if you’re twinked out. This will also give you more than enough SP and MP to continue debuffing and attacking your enemies without having to chug many, if any pots. I wish I had more solid numbers to include here, but, being as the game hasn’t been released in the US yet, I don’t have them. If anyone has or can find solid numbers, please, feel free to add them in.
